b'15HOW I FOUND MY FITWe asked recent high school graduates to share how they found the colleges that are the best academic, social,STARTING YOUR COLLEGE SEARCHand financial fit for them.I decided on Lincoln because I wanted to go to school outside of Philly butstill be close enough to where I could get back home in a few hours. I was lucky TASHONenough to receive a state grant and scholarships that almost fully cover mycost of attendance. Lincoln offers a Gaming program in their Computer Science ZEIGLER major, which interests me. Lastly, Lincoln has the school spirit, swagger, and sense of community that you can only find at an HBCU. Being surroundedScience Leadership Academy, Class of 2022 by people who look just like me and have the same goals and aspirations to Lincoln University, Class of 2026 change the world, while also having the time of our lives, just feels right.I chose to attend Saint Josephs University. Many factors tied into my decision, JULISSAincluding: the location, as it is not too far but not too close to home; thescholarship offered by Philadelphia Futures; financial aid; and a major inESPINOZA Autism Behavioral Studies that a lot of other colleges do not offer. I also like the diversity on the campus, academically and socially. The search for theFranklin Learning Center, Class of 2022 right fit taught me about my learning styles, career interests, and my overall Saint Josephs University, Class of 2026 identity. It helped me identify my priorities and my drive to succeed. The college I chose is Muhlenberg. I first considered them because I am trying to have the least amount of college debt possible, and they gave an amount LEANDREof money that was really high compared to most of the other schools. Actually visiting campus was what got my attention, though. Muhlenberg is an hour BROOKS and a half drive away, which gives me some freedom and lets me get out into the world. Academically, I know that no matter what major I choose, there will TECH Freire Charter School, Class of 2022 be many programs that are available, and I will be able to connect my interests Muhlenberg College, Class of 2026 to one of their majors.TASNEEMDrexel is a good fit for me because the education department is small, meaning I will get to know my professors personally and they will know me, which matches my learning style. Also, their education program has manyMOTAN factors that caught my eye, including that I can major as an elementary William W. Bodine High Schoolteacher and also teach two subjects. Drexels co-op program will ensure I get for International Affairs, Class of 2022 experience in the classroom, whether observing or actually student teaching.Drexel University, Class of 2026 I also got the Liberty Scholarship from Drexel which covered all my costs.I have chosen to attend Clarkson University because of the location andJOSEmajors offered. Clarkson is far, but not too far away. The location is extremely different from Philadelphia, which hopefully will allow me to do things thatGONZALEZ I cannot do within Philadelphia. They also offer Aerospace Engineering which is something I have been extremely interested in for quite some time now as Kensington Health Sciences Academy, well. The search for the right fit has taught me that I appreciate hands-onClass of 2022 experiences inside the classroom, and that being outgoing is one of my Clarkson University, Class of 2026 strengths, which I can utilize at a smaller school.'
