b'Advising & EnrichmentEstablishing a Strong Support Systemfor Students at Every Transition With staff embedded in 24 School District of Philadelphia schools, Heights provides college and career advising, as well as financial support to 3,500+ students, beginning in middle school and continuing throughout college. During middle school, Heights places a strong emphasis on the high school selection processin seven School District of Philadelphia schools, with workshops and informational sessions being offered citywide by our staff. In FY25, Heights served 797 middle school students. Steppingstone Academy, a longtime cornerstone program of Steppingstone Scholars, works with students starting in fourth grade providing academic and enrichment support,as well as assistance in the application process to independent and criteria-based schools. The support and advising continues through college. Steppingstone Academy is fullyendowed thanks to the generosity of the Hess Foundation. In FY25, Steppingstone Academy served 203 scholars.During high school, cohorts of up to 25 students per grade receive personalized advising from our staff at 17 School District of Philadelphia high schools, including school-widecollege and career programming and academic and career enrichment programming.In FY25, Heights served 2,264 high school students. During college, students receive 1:1 and group advising, career guidance, and connectionsto paid internships, as well as stipends and scholarships.
