Impact Report 2025–2026 • 13 Deloitte: Immersive Multi-Tiered Corporate Partnership In 2025–2026, Heights expanded its Financial Services & Business pathway through a multi-faceted partnership with Deloitte, launching a brand-new, four-week Summer Accounting Program focused on financial decision-making, reporting, and auditing. Hands-On Learning: Students solved three Deloitte-developed case challenges (Vayu Sneakers, Luke’s Skate Shop, and Life Rules Arcade) and worked at Deloitte’s office twice weekly alongside advisors to experience intern, accountant, and auditor roles. Dedicated Leadership: Deloitte professional Lily Nguyen took a sabbatical to serve as the lead daily instructor. Cross-Cohort Integration: Business and Entrepreneurship students joined weekly for Deloitte Academy sessions focused on corporate culture and professional development. Executive Capstone: Deloitte Partners and senior leaders judged scholars as they pitched business ideas and demonstrated accounting mastery. Heights’ Employer Partners: Fueling Economic Mobility Heights Philadelphia has established a growing network of employer and corporate partners that actively contribute to the career development and economic mobility of Philadelphia high school and college students. The organizations listed below have provided Heights students with internships and/or full-time employment, creating meaningful opportunities for students to gain professional experience, develop workplace skills, and launch their careers. Several of these organizations maintain direct partnerships with us, engaging beyond hiring by contributing volunteers, hosting job-shadowing experiences and industry tours, participating in career and industry programming, and providing financial support. Together, these relationships demonstrate our ability to connect students directly to employers while leveraging the broader business community to provide the experiences, networks, and resources students need to successfully transition from education into the workforce. GSK: Dedicated STEM Pathways & Industry Leadership For over four years, Dr. Megan Ketchum and GSK have actively shaped Heights’ Life Sciences pathway through hands-on Science in Schools programming. Authentic Experiential Learning: GSK volunteers led classroom activities, site visits, and industry projects connecting high school learning directly to real-world drug development. Student Mini-Externships: Dr. Ketchum and a team of GSK scientists — including Heights alumnus Shaq Bailey — hosted industry challenge mini-externships offering scholars direct STEM career exposure. Enduring Corporate Advocacy: Connecting via the Philadelphia STEM Equity Collective, GSK’s reliable volunteer base builds a sustainable STEM talent pipeline for Philly youth.
