Heights:
An Economic
Mobility Catalyst
Heights Philadelphia is an Economic Mobility
Catalyst, committed to breaking the cycle of
generational poverty by creating sustainable
pathways to educational and workforce success.
Where collective grit meets systemic opportunity,
we transform ambition into achievement by building
robust systems of support — ensuring that all young
people in Philadelphia — especially Black, Latino,
and first-generation-to-college students from low-
income communities — no longer have to navigate
complex college and career pathways alone.
Heights serves more than 4,000 students from
middle school through early career. In 2025–2026,
our dedicated staff was embedded in 24 School
District of Philadelphia schools while maintaining
strong partnerships with 14 colleges and universities.
We surround our students with an ecosystem
of support through four core pillars:
• College and Career Advising: We provide
individualized college and career advising
and financial support.
• Develop Career Pathways: We create pathways
that give students exposure and experience in
different careers.
• Build Communities of Support: We build
students’ community of peers, alumni,
volunteers, and other professionals who support
their success.
• Leverage Partnerships to Expand Opportunity:
We engage partners to create opportunities,
provide support, and advocate for students.
By matching individual student determination with
structural support, Heights transforms student grit
into citywide prosperity — equipping young people
with the tools, advising, and partnerships needed
to pursue thriving careers and achieve lasting
economic mobility.
