“I first visited a college during my freshman year of high school. I had no idea what the college process or experience even was. I didn’t even know how or why I should visit or begin thinking about college. College would not have been on my radar without Heights”.
Sarahi began programming with Heights Philadelphia in 2019 during her freshman year of high school. During this time, she visited several college campuses, which led to her decision to attend the University of Pennsylvania to study Communications with a concentration in Social Policy. In addition to Sarah’s academic success, she has also excelled as a trailblazer in her community, being named CItizen Youth Leader of the Year in 2023. This award reminds me to continue doing the things I love. Following your heart pays off. I didn’t do anything alone, and I am so grateful to everyone that offered me a hand or opened a door.”
