Troy, now a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion professional, first connected with Heights during his 8th-grade summer through the Sponsor-A-Scholar program. His journey from a Heights student to a volunteer is a testament to our organization’s transformative power.
Through Volunteering with Heights, Troy has found a sense of fulfillment and a full circle moment: being able to contribute to the community that invested in his college and career success.
Troy shares with current Heights students in programming, “The process and journey will get hard, but you are developing and building the skill sets right now that will take you far in life.”
